31 Brothers and Sisters!

New Life

*

After visiting the Bright Future Kids Home, we walked down a short path. There we found people that I will never forget–the children at the New Life Orphanage.

I had so much fun with these kids- instead of going for just a few hours, we went as often as we could. All I can say is that after spending time at the New Life Orphanage, I can’t wait to go back!

Before leaving Phnom Penh we had one more stop- the offices of the Cambodia Daily- All the News Without Fear or Favor.

  1. Inspirational story about how emotions and a dream can drive motivation to focus on the task and work to succeed.

  2. Would be great to learn more about some of these kids stories. What are they learning at the school? What is their situation?

  3. Hi, The children all have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. They are AIDS fee and living at the New Life Orphanage and forming a new family. Through AAFC, they all go to school and have access to great medical care, clothing and school supplies. What impressed me the most was, once you take the time to spend time, they are incredibly loving, giving and smart!!! While these children have sponsors (40/month) there are other children that are left to fend for themselves until AAFC or another orphanage can find a sponsor for them.

  4. Hi,
Fabulous stuff. I am impressed with your work. Your photos really capture joy and excitement at the orphanage. Motivational and inspirational – you must be on a high.

Going back to your initial reason for the trip – 3 Cups of Tea.
My sister-in-law, a HS French Teacher in Rochester, NY, taught David Relin. = I don’t know if she is still in touch with him but if you wanted an intro, I would ask.

  5. At last! Someone who understands! Thanks for posting!
